The role is to coordinate domestic and transborder shipments for our customers by communicating in a professional manner with the customer and source carriers to carry out the required movement.

Responsibilities:

• Dealing with variety of different carriers to secure rates and availability and transit time.
• Communicate specific freight requirements and procedures to drivers and carrier dispatch.
• Arrange pick-up and/or delivery of client orders for both Domestic and Transborder
• Tracking & tracing/monitor shipment status and relay status to customer
• Update TMS with accessorial charges and ensure load is complete and accurate for billing
• Schedule appointments for inbounds and outbounds
• Coordinate container and airport deliveries to warehouse
• Will work in both WMS and TMS to manage order fulfillment and transportation of orders
• Communicate with CSR and warehouse operations for order completion
• Assist customers and other third parties with inquires and problem resolution, escalate when required

Qualifications:

• experience in a dispatching role
• Cross border, dangerous goods and temp controlled experience an asset
• Knowledge of different types of equipment for transportation
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a face paced environment
• Geographic knowledge of Canada and US an asset
• Strong verbal and written English communication skills
• High attention to detail
• Ability to multi-task, work under pressure and problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of Office 365, load link, ability to learn in house TMS
